All New Nissan MICRA revealed

The All-New Electric Micra: A Style Icon Reimagined for the EV Era

A beloved name returns—with a bold new look and zero emissions. In 2025, the Nissan Micra makes its long-awaited comeback, this time as a 100% electric vehicle. Stylish, compact, and true to its roots, the all-new Micra is designed for the modern driver who wants fun, flair, and freedom—without compromise.

Created at Nissan Design Europe in the heart of London, the new Micra blends audacious design with everyday simplicity. Built on the advanced AmpR Small platform (shared with the Renault R5), it delivers real-world practicality with two battery options—40kWh and 52kWh—offering up to 248 miles of electric range.

Production begins this year at the Ampere ElectriCity plant in Douai, France, with customer deliveries expected before the end of 2025. And while it’s thoroughly modern, the Micra stays true to its heritage—a compact hatchback that’s just as fun and functional as it always was, but now fully electrified.

But the Micra is just the first in a trio of exciting new EVs from Nissan.

Next to arrive is the third-generation Nissan LEAF, the EV that started it all. A symbol of Nissan’s innovation, the new LEAF features a sleek, aerodynamic design and sits on the CMF-EV platform—also used by the larger ARIYA. It will be built in Sunderland, where production of this pioneering model is set to begin later this year.

Joining them soon after will be an electrified Qashqai, featuring the latest e-POWER technology for smoother, more efficient driving. And in FY26, the Juke will go electric too, marking its first-ever appearance as a full EV.

Together, these models form the foundation of Nissan’s EV36Zero vision—a transformative blueprint combining electric vehicle production, battery manufacturing, and renewable energy at the Sunderland plant, ensuring a cleaner, more sustainable future for British carmaking.

With the Micra leading the way and the LEAF and others following close behind, Nissan is putting design, technology, and sustainability at the heart of its electrified journey.
